About the book
The Correspondent
by Virginia Evans
Sybil Van Antwerp, a retired lawyer in her seventies, conducts much of her life through letters and emails—to family members, friends, authors, neighbors, doctors, and even people who frustrate her. Through her correspondence, a fuller picture of her relationships, regrets, grief, and closely guarded past gradually emerges. At the center is one letter she has never sent, forcing Sybil to confront whether she can forgive herself and reconnect with the people she loves.
