About the book
The Name of the Wind
Kvothe, a legendary musician, magician, and adventurer who has disappeared from public life, is living quietly as an innkeeper when a traveling chronicler discovers his identity and asks him to tell the truth about his past. Kvothe begins recounting his childhood with a traveling troupe, the tragedy that destroyed his family, his years surviving alone on the streets, and his eventual entrance into the University to study magic. His story is driven by his desire to understand the mysterious Chandrian and uncover the truth behind the people who killed his family. The novel blends coming-of-age, magic, music, mystery, and epic fantasy.
